I have to be honest, I had higher expectations because of the lines I would see here sometimes but it fell short.
Their drinks are fixed sugar and ice levels and the only non-dairy milk was a powdered milk tea.
Now, the non-dairy milk tea option was actually good because it was less sugar than the regular but not amazing.
The cup size was kinda small for $6+ and although it was quick, easy ApplePay and nice staff, I wouldn’t go here ahead.
Tiger Sugar is two steps down from it and much better in my opinion with great taste and sugar/milk customization.
Decent milktea. Flavor was good and boba was soft. Not the best I had - so can’t give 5 stars… flavor could be better - a bit less sweet (and no, there was no option to adjust sugar level with this one)
This was a unique place! The designs were so cute and creative! I originally saw this place everywhere online and decided to finally try it. I went super early because I know the signature devils egg runs out quickly.
My honest opinion is that, while it is creative, it’s nothing special. The taste is your average brown sugar milk tea. The fruit tea was a bit too sour for my tastes but the flavor was good!
Additionally, more care should be put into how functional these cups are. The devils egg kept leaking which made my hands and bag sticky with the milk and sugar. Adding on, the caps for both were hard to store and a bit awkward to hold. If you’re coming here, make sure to bring a bag or somewhere to put the extra items!
I would definitely recommend this place to someone who is looking for a boba and a unique experience!
Small, and looked “hole-in-the-wall” to someone who’s not a local to NYC. The boba was a great texture and I loved the taste. Also, it was fun to get the experience of receiving the boba through the tiger’s mouth.
Not a huge fan of bubble tea, so only have it couple times a month maybe. And that usually leads me to Gongcha’s dirty brown sugar bubble tea cause I like sweets. Compared to that, brown sugar bubble tea here was quite light in its sweetness (although bubbles themselves were slightly sweeter) but more milky taste in it. To me it was some sort of learning experience because I didn’t expect that I would enjoy less sweet bubble tea. Might come again if I’m around.
I could not be happier with my bubble tea. The tapioca was warm, the honey was sweet and tea milky.
There is a *new owner* and they are revamping the place into a wonderful spot for a tasty, affordable, and chic bubble tea experience.
Give it a try and you’ll love the quick service, getting handed you bubble tea through the tiger mouth and unique bubble tea options.

This shop is super small, barely any room to wait for your drink especially if it’s full. I tried the brown sugar boba milk tea w/ coffee foam. It was really good and not overly sweet.
Smaller than expected. Small quaint and very much right on the sidewalk of NYC. The golden lions head was cool and the boba drinks was spot on. Very much recommended.
